J-1 to F1 change of Status denied! What should I do?

On Oct 20, USCIS sent me a denial notice of Change of Status from J-1 to F1.

I initially submitted USCIS a bank statement of my mom in my country with the balance of $25,000. In the I-20 form, they said the school had information showing that I had evidence of $16,000 of family funds.
They see the inconsistencies here and they asked me for an I-134 form to validate a sponsor for me. I resubmitted another bank statement from my mom, and they said I do not indicate that I have the ability to support myself during my studies, the evidence produced does not sufficiently show that I will have access to the balances in the amount indicated on the SEVIS Form I-20. The lack of documents submitted do not dedicate how or from where I will access the money, who my sponsor is...
This is the reason that they gave me in the denial notice!

I only have 30 days to depart US. However, I can't quit school right now and go back to my country. What should I do right now? Do I need to reapply or write a motion or write an appeal? I do not have a sponsor in US so I can't fill the form I-134 to validate a sponsor for me, therefore, can my mom transfer money to my bank account in US and I'll submit my own bank statement? What else should I do? I've already had the receipt of tuition and fees, which I paid for school!

Thanks a lot!

You cannot change status from J-1 to F-1. You must leave the US and you must obtain a visa stamp. This is a specific restriction of the J-1 visa.

Go to your school, show them your bank statements and get a new I-20 from them showing additional funds. Then apply again.

I can't find a good reference for the J-1 rule, but if you are subject to a HRR you cannot do change of status in the US to F-1. You must get the visa stamp abroad (tried it, personal experience).

nscagony, that is assuming that option is checked and that he did not obtain a waiver, correct?
