Hey guys!

Sorry for posting on multiple forums.

I believe the ITIN is required for the spouse (on H4) for Consular processing.

Does the IRS ask for the "in status" proof? My spouse's I-94 was till 1st week of August. We have already filed for her extension before that date.

How long does it take to get the ITIN for the spouse?

Once you apply for ITIN with IRS you can get it in 10-15 days
ITIN is not required for CP of H4 holder ITIN is for tax

Attach the reciept that you have applied for H4 extension, they also need passport pages copy and submit copy of I-94
