Issues regarding citizenship

I have 2 stays above 6 months (360 days, 357 days) outside USA after I got green card. In last 5 years, I have been outside USA for 65 days altogether. I had Reentry permit while I was outside USA for the long durations. Overall, I have stayed in USA for 7 years and outside USA for 3 years ever since I got green card. Would my long stays be an issue if I apply for citizenship? I have filed tax returns and have transcripts of the same while I was outside USA.

Your long stays are outside statutory period so they wouldn't affect physical presence or continuous residence requirements.

Trips that ended over 5 years ago don't affect your eligibility (although you still have to list all trips since becoming an LPR). You won't need to provide tax returns or other evidence of ties to the US for those long trips, because they are outside the 5-year statutory period.

Thank you for the reply.
I was actually based out of India rom June 2003 till March 2006 to take care of my Octogenarian grandmother as my father who was the only son and my mother passed away too early. My 2 long trips of almost 1 year during that time. I also worked in India during that time for US companies though I joined them only after moving to India. The US company itself transferred me back to USA in April 2006. Although I had reentry permit, does that mean that I abandoned my GC because I worked in India during my long stays?

I hope you live to be an Octogenarian too, noble grandchild...:) The re-entry permit protected you from losing your GC, you are on solid footing and no problems are in your future. When you are ready to apply for US citizenship, go ahead and file and you are fine. Your GC is still valid and you can still get 10% for showing it to your local buffet dinner place...:)
