Hi,

I am travelling with my wife with a valid AP and I have never been out of status in US.

The only problem that is eating me out is that "Will officials at Indian International Airport demand any document like Police Clearance Cerificate" (As they know that it is an immigrant kind of exit from India)

I have to make an emergency travel to India and I don't have time for getting a Police Clearance issued from Indian Consulates in US, as they anyway send the docs to India and we all know how much time it can take......

Can anyone please share their Advance parole "exit from India" experiences. I am not worried about the US BCIS officials as I have all the documentation.

Someone please help!!! I am very much worried.

Thanks in advance.

At Indian Airport they are not going to ask any question for AP. They don’t need police clearance. When you go to immigration counter before boarding a flight the immigration officer checks your Passport # only or any report again you from Indian police or government. I have not read any post that when you depart India with AP they need police clearance

AP is not immigrant kind of exit it is like Visa or alternative to Visa with AP you are not immigrant still your AOS is pending.
If you committed any serious crimes in India and you are wanted then you will not be allowed to exit India with Visa or AP or GC

I think they check for a valid visa also in the passport.

The cause of concern is that immigration inspectors in india are over reactive to the illegal people entering in US.

I have not commited any serious (in fact no crimes.. c'mon :-) )
but don't have time to get PCC issued in a narrow time frame and you know how imp it is to come back and join your employer back in US on time right ??

Thanks
