Is New H1b required upon H1Tranfer and while traveling

Hi,
I got my H1 transferred August 2008. Visa stamping in my passport is with my previous company and expires 2010. I don't know whether my ex-employer(desi) canceled my visa or not. I am traveling to India next month and i need to know whether new stamping with my current employer is required or not? Can anyone help or give suggestions or share their experience if any?

When enter US at POE show the Visa stamp of past employer AND H1 transfer approval of new employer and you will get I-94 till H1 transfer approval notice.

Past Employer can only revoke H1 petition by writing to USCIS and not Visa stamp. Visa stamp is not under USCIS it is under DOS.
** keep the new employer letter and show only IF asked at POE.
