is it still good to file labor under EB2 category for indians

I have heard that the visa numbers are unavailable for indian for EB2 category. Is it going to be still good to file labor under EB2 category.

Don't jump to this conclusion , wait until Sep 15,2006 , then decide which way do you want to go.

what else can you do?
You should not be asking this questions if you are EB1 candidate and only other viable options is EB3 which is even worse.
 
Nowadays newcomers should only consider investing efforts for US GC if any of following condition can be met:

1) S/he can file under EB1 category
2) Senate and House seems to be bringing in drastic immigration reform laws
in near future which can affect applicants under employment category
positively.

On second condition you do not have control and if you can not meet first condition then one should not waste time,money and energy behind US GC.

Shortest route can be : Go for Canadian Permanent immigration ( End to end 1.5 years process)- Invest your another 3 years of life in Canada to get citizenship - Open up a company in Canada having branch in USA and come to USA via that company's banner - Find a good job here -- And then you will not care even if you will have to wait for 20 years for US GC
