Is it possible to sponser parents that are out of status now?

I'm not a citizen yet but would like to find out whether its possible to sponser my parents once I become a citizen.

They entered US on a visitors visa and stayed on. They're been in the US for over 10 years, so they're out of status. They're seniors now and I'm the only child. They stayed here to fund my education and I really don't want to send them back to my home country. There's nobody to take care of them. Is there any possibility that I'll be able to sponser them once I become a citizen.

Parents, wives and minor children are immediate relatives therefore can adjust status in the US even when out of status as long as they are not inadmissible(Nazis, felons, bigamists et al).
 
Yes, when you become USC, you can file I130 and I485 for them. They can adjust their status even they were already out of status. You just need to make sure they don't leave the country until they get the plastic GC.
 
They were able to fund your education while being out of status? That is a remarkable achievement. Once you are a citizen, they should be able to AOS. Good luck!!!

Thank you, that's a huge relief for me. I still have a long way to go but its a relief to know that I'll finally be able to give them something back for the sacrifies they made. They haven't been to my home country since they came here and my mother would love to visit their relatives.

Yes, they funded my entire education working here. They both worked and spent every penny on my tution, so they don't have any savings for themselves. Specially my father, he worked 7 days a week for 4 years at a stretch without taking a single day off even when he wasn't feeling well. Its important for me to take care of them.

Its a great relief to know that I'll be able to get them the GC.
