Is it possible to get AP

from local INS office when
  AP application is pending with CSC for less than 90 days, need to travel due to emergency. If yes, what documents are required ?

Does anyone has any experience with this sort of situation ?

EAD and AP rcvd

Hi,
My wife and I received EAD and AP from VSC last week. I had applied for 485, EAD and AP at the same time. Here are the details:

RD: 3/12/02 (for all)
ND: 4/4/02 (for all)
FP: scheduled for 6/1 in Newark,NJ
EAD approved on 5/14, received at home addr on 5/18
AP approved on 5/14, sent to lawyer. Yet to get it from lawyer.

I had my EB3 based I-140 from TSC as my company is based in GA. However, when it came to 485 processing, i had it filed in VSC based on the fact that i live and work in NJ. I hired a new lawyer as the company lawyer was not ready to even consider filing for 485 in VSC where processing is much faster. I\'m happy to note that things are moving faster than expected at VSC.

Saint: 485 receipt copy, AP receipt copy and documentary proof (email?) about emergency is all required for emergency AP. Just go prepared with the requisite fee in money order (just in case). Go to the nearest sub office or district office instead of local INS.
