Is it OK the sign date earlier than mail date?

My application date should be 12/15/2010, so I must mail the N400 on that day. May I sign in N400 form on 12/12/2010 and mail N400 at 12/15/2010?

Yes, what will matter is the date it is accepted for receipt as to eligibility determinations.

Is 12/12/2010 before the start of the 90 day window? If yes, I would advise against signing it with that date. Even though USCIS is supposed to look at the received date, people sometimes get rejected without an interview because the signature date or postmark date is before the 90-day window. Make sure the signing date and postmark date are both after the start of the 90-day window.

To lessen your worries, sign date it for the date you send off application (even if it means pre-dating application).
