Is Hepatitis B virus part of the medical exams?

I want to find out if someone is Hepatitis B positive can he/she be Ineligible to have the Visa ? My sister won the DV2009 but she is Hepatitis B positive and I want to know if she is Ineligible for the visa.

Most likely in case you are positive, you will not need to vaccinate yourself against this illness. A note from the doctor is needed.
That does not disqualify you at all.
 
Thanks for your reply. Does she need to inform the doctor about this during the exams or will this be part of the medical exams?
 
She needs to bring the evidence of her being sick with hep b to the medical exam. Then she most likely not need the vaccination, and will not have to pay for it.
