Is GC holder be tracked during travel outside USA?

I am wondering whether there is way to track GC holder' travel trail when they use GC to travel outside of USA.

Ok.. I will be so bold as to say that the only way they (the government) can track a GC holder's movement/travel is by scanning the card. This is done whenever the GC is swiped. I believe they do this whenever a GC holder comes back through the major airports - this is only for international travel ofcourse. From my experience, the GC is not swiped when traveling by land to and from Canada.

The answer is NO (for sure). Unless ther person is involved in some illegal activity. Of course, the US Government can track every GC holder but they don't have those resources (we are talking about millions of people). But I still wouldn't go back home if thats your point.

Nothing should be taken for Granted with the USCIS. Just like a member posted that if they find out that you obtained your GC(marriage for example) in fraud, your GC will be taken...ASylum GC is the same way but USCIS doesn't act much on it since we are a minority..but if they see patterns of people abusing the asylum-gc system as it happened with marriage-based GC, they will put all the efforts on that.
 
USCIS is tracking this forum as we speak. All of you people giving bad advice about using national passports are in a watch list. Your citizenship will be denied and you will be deported on the spot. You have been warned. :D
USCIS knew I didn't flush the toilet in the plane on the way back from Brazil, and knew I drank too much whiskey on the way there. If I were you, I wouldn't have a life until you have been a U.S citizen for 10 years :rolleyes:

actually i just received the notice
but they sent my card on augest 2nd, so i am expecting to get the card either on saturday or next week

Kaotic, Let us know how the card smells? Does it smell green like money?...
 
heh...when i get the card, i will stomp on it first....gee....took me almost 5 years....love it and hate it too :D

They may know your record in/out our North Neighbor. This is from the W House site.

The United States and Canada have agreed to share Advance Passenger Information and Passenger Name Records (API/PNR) on high-risk travelers destined to either country. Canada implemented its Passenger Information system (PAXIS) at Canadian airports on October 8, 2002 to collect Advance Passenger Information. The automated U.S. -Canada API/PNR data-sharing program will be in place by Spring 2003. "

Any passenger coming into the US the airlines are required to submit the passenger manifest to the INS and customs otheriwse they will not be allowed to land.
