Is F-1 status still valid once you file I-140 NIW for your dependent to get F-2?

Hi all,

I'm in the US on a TN visa, and my husband will file NIW soon. I was wondering if, in the case that I lose my job after he files the I-140, I can still change my status to F-2, considering his immigrant intent because of the I-140.
