Is EAD required for travel. I do have AP

An EAD is not required to travel, and explicitly says it cannot be used to re-enter the US. If you do not plan upon working upon your re-entry, you will have no issues.
 
Working on EAD, no AP but valid H4

Hello

I have been working on EAD but have valid H4. I need to urgently travel can I reenter back on H4 or do I need AP?
Do you know of anybody who had issues reentering back on H4 after being on EAD with no AP?

Use of EAD invalidates your H4. Currently, your status is Pending AOS. As you no longer have your H4, you need AP to travel or you will not be allowed to enter US after you return.
