Is certified driver extract enough?

guys, i decided to take one for the team, i have the abstract with me and the disposition papers, i aint mentioning it , under traffic tickets or citations. lets see how it goes, i will keep u guys posted:)

Any citation that involves point to your license should be listed in my opinion. The red light/parking tickets don't go towards your points as of yet. But whenever they do, they should be listed too.

Vorpal, no offense taken. Again it's my opinion. So people can do what's up to them but listing tickets won't do any harm and if you have done nothing wrong, why be scared? Everyone gets a ticket.

Actually I may be wrong but the reason they removed "excluding traffic" tickets from n400 was because people stopped listing DUIs and all since it came under "traffic"

Hey, I respect your opinion. It's just that the process of treating traffic tickets and naturalization is so convoluted, there really doesn't seem to be a correct way of doing it. There have been a few interview experience posts on this forum where the IO actually got annoyed with the applicants for disclosing minor traffic tickets and stated that the wording in the question refers to criminal citations only. In my opinion, Question 16 needs to be worded more properly.

As you've mentioned, it's really up to the applicant to decide whether or not to disclose traffic tickets. However, the case of nyc_newbie was definitely enough to convince me not to. In fact, I did exactly what sreeleshk is planning on doing. I brought my driver abstract and proof of payment for an old speeding ticket to the interview, planning on disclosing it if the IO specifically asked me about traffic tickets (I've heard stories about IOs explicitly asking about traffic tickets). My IO didn't ask, so I didn't tell. Again, everyone's mileage may vary.

Hi,

Does anyone know how many years does the driving record go back? If I am staying in the same state (MA) for 10+ years, will they be able to provide all my citations for those many years?

TIA.

It depends. In some states, records are only kept for 3 years. You should be able to find this information on the MA DMV site.

In MA, driving record is available from RMV and from MRB (Merit Rating Board).

RMV gives 2 records:
Unattested Driving Record for $6
True and Attested Driving Record for $20

MRB gives Detailed Driving History Record for $15

Which driving record people in MA usually obtain?

I called MRB, and they told me that their record goes back 6 years whereas RMV's records goes back 10 years. So I obtained RMV's record. But I was not asked for it in the interview.
