Is Alaska considered Abroad for filing Naturalization?

Hi,

My husband is in the military and we're stationed in Alaska. We called the USCIS and they said I can file a naturalization already since Alaska is considered abroad. Did anyone of you here have the same situation with me? Also I am going to file the petition to remove the condition for my GC. So I have to file both N-400 and I-751. The reason why I am doing the naturalization is I am going to join the Air National Guard here in Alaska. I just wanna make sure that Alaska is also considered abroad same as military.

Well, I know that Alaska is part of the 50 states but technically in Military, Alaska is considered abroad. We called the immigration and they said "yes, it is". So I wonder if somebody actually filed for Naturalization here in Alaska coz I couldn't find that in form that says Alaska is considered abroad for military families. I guess nobody had the same situation as me. If somebody had done it then maybe I can. That's the purpose of my post.
