Hi all, I am scheduled for a DV interview by 10th of March , but had a row with my wife sometime ago which involved the police. This left a caution trace for common assault on my british police certificate. Can this be enough ground to refuse me the Visa?

But it is registered. The OP says "This left a caution trace for common assault on my british police certificate". The Consular officer will defintely see this and ask questions about it. Probably not much you can do at this point other than be prepared to explain. If you have documents relating to the event, then it might be a good idea to bring these to the interview, although only submit them if asked.
Actually the best forum to research this issue is the British ExPats forum here: http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=34

Search for "caution" and you will find numerous other cases.
