I got my second interview letter it asks me to show up to my DO office with passport, work permit, Photi id and my wife on May 17th at 9am. It says "ASK FOR DUTY ADJUDICATING OFFICER"

Anyone have any info as it what the difference is between IO and DOA?

but why just the 4 items. Photo id, passport, work permit and my WIFE. I a little anxious (not worried) just anxious as to what this is about????? Any clues.

I'll take a stab at this one.

Best case:-
Photo id = To prove you are who you claim to be
Passport = Probably to stamp it
EAD = You need to surrender it
Wife = They need to see (speak to) the sponsor

Worst case:-
Stokes interview for both of you

The above are my guesses seeing the fact that this is your second interview.
Good luck!!!

Why will i look at questions and clog my mind. I will answer honestly whatever i know. If i don't know something i am human i don't know it. That's that. Life is too short to be worried about questions. At the first interview me and wife took like the whole city library of evidence with us and the IO didn't even ask for anything just said you will have to wait 6 months for your GC. I even asked him so you don't want to see any of this he is like NO. You don't have anything and i had oringinals and copies of every single thing the interview letter requests.he even commented your wife is very quiet. To that she said well you haven't asked me anything. It was a formal interview and not a mcdonalds sunday morning breakfast meeting. My wife was under the impression to speak when spoken too. FUNNY WORLD.

I have one question in the second interview is it the same IO or different?????

It will be so funny if it is the same officer because i wonder what he is going to want to ask me. I really will be :p if it's the same IO.I personally think they are calling me in because i filed for a change of address before i got my decision and they want to make sure that i am still with my wife. That's my 0.2 cents, but i have known to be wrong.

Hi:

I agree with your comments above. If you have a good marriage, it is usually visible - most married couples do not know a lot of little details about the color of the bedsheet and nonsense like that.

Someone here once posted that an officer asked him what color underwear his wife wore that day. My response would be - you know what, I don't even know what color underwear I am wearing today, but I'd be happy to check for you.

Incidentally, the officer may ask you if you consummated the marriage. He is NOT allowed to ask anything more than that. I have seen examples where officers got more detailed, but you are allowed to refuse such answers.

Thanks Piano Player. There is just too much drama involved in this process. I feel since the process takes so long it put's thoughts in people's mind and pre concieved notion that the USCIS is bad. Which is not true.
