Interview today - application denied!

In such case during the interview, do the IO still bothere to test applicants'
civic and English?

Reading English test: read this: who is the main competitor of ****?
Writing test: write this sentence: Rooboks is the main compititor of ****.

The danger is that n.i.k.e may be misinterpreted by IO for many swear words,ex:

n.i.k.e.off becomes ****off
mothern.i.k.e becomes mother****
n.i.k.e.face becomes ****face

etc..

Thereby increasing chances of denial based on lack or moral character.

I got my GC in Jan 05 thru my employer, got married to a US citizen on Feb 06. So, based on the 90 day rule I filed my application on 1/26/09, but today the IO told me I had to wait for 3 years to be completed before filing! I missed it by 19 days, that is so ridiculous.

If you got your GC through employer, why did you apply for citizenship based on marriage? Or it doesnt matter? (just curious)

The IO did go thru the application - have you paid your taxes?, have you been arrested?, etc... but no History-Civics questions! Just took out the big DENIED RED stamp, made me sign a application withdrawal form, and I was out.

No specific reason, just to get this done earlier, I would have been eligible in Jan 2010 if I waited base on my GC. Also, USCIS keeps raising the fees, but didn't know I would be paying double otherwise would have waited a year!

Do you think rescheduling that happened had anything to do with your
application too early?

Because they wouldn't be eligible to apply for the N-400 until 2010. Employment based is 5 years, marriage based is 3 years from the PR date on the Green Card (minus the 90 days)...

Warlord, that does not answer my question. :) My question is: to apply for N-400 based on marriage one should or should not have AOS based on marriage?

Many people including me used to assume that was the case but it isn't.

citizenship based upon marriage has nothing to do how one got the GC.
