Momo, are u allowed to bring your cell phone on the interview ? how pictures you have to bring ?

Hey bro, no phones allowed inside the embassy or any electronic devices. You leave your phone at the security desk and they'd normally give you a number which you hand back on your way out and claim your items.

I have to say that one of the best things for me on this journey has been this forum.

I couldn't have done it without any of you!


I leave with my mother on Saturday, August 17th at 5pm and reach Dubai at around 11:30pm at night and after a three hour transit I'll board my next flight for Dulles and arrive at 8:30am so I should be out of the airport by 9:30am.

I'll be heading straight to Virginia (Falls Church) to spend two nights with my brother as I haven't seen him for two years and recuperate from the traveling then hop in a car and have a three hour drive to Pennsylvania to see my aunt whom I also haven't seen since 2011.

The schedule for the week that I land is to start moving to get my driver's licence and bank account sorted out, then meet a tax consultant to set up my tax payments on foreign income.

After that it's wedding bells for my brother so we'll be busy with that and once thats out of the way in September, my mother and I are doing a state by state hop to check out where I'd like to settle and first stop is Dallas then Houston as they're tax friendly and cost of living is great (and houses are cheap!).
