Interview notice within 3.5 months - good or bad sign?

Hi, I applied my n400 dec 1, 2008 and even rescheduled my finger printing once, but i just got my interview letter for mid march 2009.

I guess it's a good thing, but does it have any relevance to if I will be approved or not? My DO is san francisco.

Also, I cant find the thread regarding san francisco interview experiences, can someone please send me the link?
 
Hi Greenhouse98 I am also in SF area and planning to file in April. I was reading this forum and is very helpful. Did you disclose your traffic tickets on N400? Please share your experiences.
 
No I did not, because I didn't get any traffic tickets within the past 5 years (do do we have to disclose tickets that we have gotten since driving?) Also reading some post here, i got the feeling that the IO's are not looking for you to disclose your tickets as it makes there jobs harder.
 
Yes, it is a good thing. It means they're moving on your case. It won't have any relevance whatsoever on your case. Whether you get approved or not does not depend at all on the processing time.
 
It depends..was it raining on the day you applied?

Seriously, a fast interview is a sign of an efficient system..consider yourself lucky that you are getting it so fast.

I just had my interview in SF yesterday. Just under 4 months from mailing the N400.

I disclosed everything to death. Undocumented traffic tickets back to 1982 with note that the dates were a guess. Maybe 150+ trips out of the country on a big spreadsheet again with a rider that old trips were a bit of a guess. All they care about is big deal stuff like DUIs and "long" trips. Putting it all out there stops any potential problems if they ever review it later.

SF office very polite and professional. Assuming you meet all the criteria it's a bit silly to underdisclose or fib at the interview.
 
It's about average I'd say, though seems maybe a little longer then usual for the interview. And yes, the interview will determine if you are approved or not whether you got your interview 1 month from apply or 1 year, doesn't mean anything...
 
Unless of course the interview is descheduled or the IO tells you at interview that file has not arrived and they cannot adjudicate your case.
