I have an interview next week and I need help in answering a question if an IO ask me this..

question is: Was there ever a year when you didn’t file your federal tax forms?

I worked for a grocery store in 2005 for about 2 weeks where I got a compensation for about $500 which is below the required income to file for taxes. Should I answer I filed for taxes each year I was required to or should I mention what happened in 2005?

btw, i didnt file that year since i wasnt required to. should i mention that I worked that year but i didnt file? i just afraid that they'll ask me proof that my income was not sufficient for the irs to require me to file for taxes... any advice?

The question they will/may ask is if you ever failed to file. Failing to file implies you were required to file but didn't.Since you weren't required to file, you didn't fail to file.

Was that your only income for 2005?

You are fine, since you werent required to file so dont mention it except you are asked. And when the I/O asks you the question, say NO.
