My N-400 application was pending a background check for almost 3 and half months, then my status changed online into starting the interview process. Got scheduled for interview first week of June..One week before the interview I received a letter stating that my interview was descheduled...Called customer service, Made an infopass ,contacted my congressman and senator's office....I got only one reply from Senator's office informing me that my case is under EXTENDED review...What does that mean?...Is that another background check? and how long would it take before a new interview date to be scheduled......I am afraid that my case would just be delayed for a long pperiod of time...So frustrating....Any inputs on interview cancelling would be much appreciated.

My guess is, your name check is still pending. Keep in mind that multiple federal agencies provide input for that name check. Wait it out.
