What reasons that some people got interviewed by FBI and some don't?

Most don't, only a very few do. FBI will interview a person when they are interested in that person, not because there is an immigration related petition in the process.
Sometimes FBI sees a red flag on a person on the FBI computer when a person applies for any immigration application (485, 400, sevis, etc).
Did you get interviewed by FBI?

No, not yet. I had my fingerprints taken 2 times but during the interview, the officer told me that I need to get the background check from places that I used to live. I have no records but I am just afraid that the FBI will interview me because of my finger prints.
I am curious as to why you will be afraid of such interview? Besides what makes you believe you'll be interviewed by the feds anyway?

I don't think you will be interviewed by the FBI. I guess your fingerprints are not eligible, so USCIS is asking you to provide police clearance from the places you resided.
