Is it true they no longer issue iead at local offices?my io said they have stoped.today i had infopass appointment, my 2nd one actually, its been 118 days since i filed, its based on i485, married to a usc, the io said he is going to send an email to the one working on my case and ask him to expediate my ead. How long will that also take?

What he/she told you is right. The time is variable depending on many factors but in the qverage it take 2 weeks. Obviously, there are exceptions few in couple days and others stuck pending for ever (stories in this forum take ~ 1 year)
after my 2nd infopass appoint on 05/21 the IO promised me he was going to send an email to expediate my case but nothing happend after almost 2weeks, 05/26 i did a service request and the customer service rep said she is going to send them email for interim ead, she gave me up to 31st may.....i shd hear from them, nothing happend as my case status still said case received and pending since 2nd feb., i sent my congressman email, i did not get any reply, after all these fustrations i deceided to call them this morn, i insisted on talking to IO, the rep made me hold on for abt 3min and told me the only information they have is case pending, i insisted but still no IO to talk to, after abt 15mins talking to her i ended the call since the IO am sure had nothing to tell me, call ended at 8.33am, by 9.00am i checked my potfolio on uscis wesite and

Current Status Card production ordered.
On June 1, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.
my advise is pls dont sit there call them, if possible every other day, make appointment do everything possible if ur case is beyond the normal processing time.:

Congratulation! As stated before the RFE for your I485 reset the clock again to day 1 after your response received by the USCIS. The EAD will not be issued unless the response is received and accepted by the USCIS and this is very logic/

but there are two types- from what i read from their site or elsewhere... 1)request for initial evidence and 2) request for additional evidence. the initial is suppose to restart the 90 days after they have received it but additional stops the prcocess till they receive the evidence and continues counting on where they stoped. i got additional evidence but yet still they re-start, i didn't know this b4 i went for my info pass, i would ve challenged them.. they were just not responding to my file....their bad.

after receiving an email from CRIS on monday 06/01 that my EAD has been ordered for card production, i received another email yesterday 06/04 that my EAD card production has been ordered....again, is this normal? or it means i will get two? all i need is just one and VERY fast, how long will it take for me to get the physical card?
