It looks to me that they received an EAD through either an I-485, K status or L-2, and something the INS has done has invalidated the underlying status, therefore the EAD will be revoked.

GCHunter??

Wouldn't that mean that a March 2002 ND 485 has been approved, baased on the EAC#.?? Seems unlikely, given processing times and dates.

That's what I figured.... it seems odd that it would be AOS-related; maybe it's a fiancee that didn't get married.

Because I485 approved

I would suspect that the applicant waited for I485 approval for almost one year and then filed EAD renewal, but After that 485 approved.

One of my colleagues has the same case. Last year, INS said his EAD was rejected because his I485 approved.

In this case, I think INS approved his EAD, but later found his 485 approved, so revoke the EAD approval.

Puzzled

It would seem that the INS is revoking something that was previously approved. I can only think that the reason would be if the employer informed the INS of a change in the beneficiary's status. Hopefully, it is not something where the INS reviews a faulty approval for whatever reason and then takes action to correct the previous mistake. If so, that opens up a whole new can of worms.
