Information reg I-130 Application

I have applied marriage based greencard 5 months back. I haven't get any letter for the interview yet.
when I check online, it shows. review.
Is Interview for the I 130 application is mandatory or is there anybody who got approved with out interview. ?
Please advise

It is unclear what was actually filed, by whom, for what, where, or how.

An I-130 is merely a request to recognize a claimed relationship as per a statutory definition. It does not mean much except that further steps may be taken if it is approved. MOST I-130s are decided based solely on the paperwork submitted, FEW are ever "interviewed".

One might apply for a "greencard" concurrently by filing an I-485 IF already lawfully present in the U.S. and an immigrant visa is (or would be) immediately available. That means an I-130 for an Immediate Relative (IR) may be submitted with an I-485 IF the alien relative is actually eligible to file an I-485 and has a visa available such as the situation of an immediate relative of a USC. (IR = Spouse, child, or parent of a USC)

IF the alien relative is outside the U.S. they have to wait for the I-130 to be approved and forwarded through NVC to the appropriate consulate or embassy abroad for Immigrant VISA processing.

Thank you for the information, I'm currently in theKentucky United states, I applied for I 130 and i 485 jointly,
but my I485 is administratively closed as i was previously in removal proceedings, I have recalender master hearing with immigration judge which is on oct 2013, I received notice from USCIS that they don't have any kind of jurisdiction on my i485 and administratively closed.
So I though my i130 also administratively closed or what's happening..?
I do not have work authorization now ?

I hope you have an attorney helping you. You need it.

Look for free or inexpensive legal help at: http://www.justice.gov/eoir/legalrepresentation.htm

That is info provided by the government agency that contains the Immigration Court system.
