hi,
i had to leave my job-want to change from h1 to h4-what is the procedure?? my h1 is also expiring soon? what is the process to apply change of status from h1 to h4-how much does it cost?? how long does it take??

anybody gone thru such scenario??

-- if your spouse is on H1 status then file form I-539 H1 to H4 change of status, file BEFORE your I-94 gets expired
the form or USCIS main page of forms has fee listed, it can take 3-5 months.
other alternative is if you go out then get H4 visa stamp based on your spouse H1 approval and enter on H4 status
