my conditional GC expires on 12-12-2009
sent my I-751 last week .....

how does it work if i dont get my gc before the conditional gc expires?whats gonna happen after my conditional gc expires?

any info will be appreciated

You should be fine ...

as long as you sent in the application, you should be fine. Just stay in the country (dont travel anywhere)

Please let us know why he can't travel. :eek: I am eager for a response, because I am concerned too about my ability to travel with an expired card...;)
 
Isustud, you'll get a letter that specifically states that your permanent residency has been extended for a year; therefore you can continue working and traveling, no problem. You may face inconveniences with some airline personnel oversees not familiar with such letter, but that is more annoying than anything else. Perhaps, that is what Benebenes was referring to ;)

can anyone show me what the 1 year extenion letter looks like of corse with all personal info blackedout ...if no one cant thats fine ...but i was just curious

A very simple letter extending your travel and work authorizations. Nothing to write home about :)
