Individual or Group Cover Letter/Affidavit/Itinerary?

My family of 8 is appearing for interview for B2 Visa soon. They will be appearing in 2 groups of 4 people (as VFS only allow max of 6 people to appear as a one group). Group 1 is with my Father, my middle Brother, his wife and son. Group 2 is my elder brother, his wife, son and daughter.

immihelp.com mentions that they need to carry a cover letter (summarizing why they will be back in India), Affidavit (describing details of their assets) and detail of itinerary in US.

Do each of my family member need to have an individual cover letter/affidavit/itinerary OR only primary person (my father in group1 and my elder brother in group2) need to carry letter/affidavit/itinerary ?

Please let me know
