I was upset/emotional only becuase one gentlmen/gentlewomen called Nadi said ...its Indian stupid law etc...

Hope original poster BGS will get back to us .....If he/she does not come back forget about his/her thread...not waste time of other forum members..

To my understanding I agree with the posts stating that if one seeks asylum out of the country of citizenship he / she is denying the current citizenship and seeking help from other country to obtain its citizenship. So with any country in the world the rule would be simple if you do not want citizenship then why do you want passport. Passport is only for citizens. The argument that till the time the asylum is not granted by other country the person remains citizen of previous country stand nowhere as this guy has already denounced the previous citizenship while seeking the asylum to another country.

BGS seems to be an FOB Attorney who got expert answers from this forum and just dis-appeared. He might as well be preparing/taking his client's case to the Supreme Court on the basis of your advise . Well done guyz !!

What do U think is Nasty .... If someone is 'oppressed' whats wrong if one seeks freedom .... and one is trying to flee ... the lawmakers of the country should go into the depth of the case and try to remove the causes -- that made the person seek asylum... instead doing things like cancelling the passports etc.... come on if someone is in pain -- do not try to give him more trouble by doing such thing ---

2 in every 5 who die before there 5th birthday is from INDIA... does some one care ... The guys in high ups are quite contented with there well being rather than the being of the citizen ... Whats wrong with the person who's KID is not cared by the state --- is trying to seek asylum in US ... at least he can see his kid NOT die in front of his own eyes.

Well thru my experience ... Judicary is quite advanced and powerful compared to other departments in India .... the lower courts are not all that fair though ... But how many guys have means and ways to go to the higher courts ....


And do not say that I am some sort of Indian hater type of thing --- when tsunami stuck --- I gave off all my entire saving of $18500 to the victims ... no I did not keep that 500 too .. thinking even that will take care of an entire family for atleast 6 months over there..

What did U do to help Ur countrymen ?

33. DECLARATION:I solemnly affirm that
(i) I owe allegiance to the sovereignty and integrity of India, and
(ii) Information given above in respect of myself, my son/daughter/ward is correct and nothing has been concealed and I am awarethat it is an offense under the Passport Act 1967 to knowingly furnish false information or suppress material information, whichattract penal and other punishments under the acts.
(iii) I undertake to be entirely responsible for expenses of my son/daughter/ward.
(iv) I have not lost, surrendered or been deprived of my citizenship of India. I have not voluntarily acquired the citizenship of anothercountry.
(v) The information furnished by me in this form is correct.
(vi) I have neither applied for, nor been granted asylum.
(vii) I have read the passport guidelines, fees and mailing information carefully.

Let me know what happens to your case in Supreme Court, once you move there. Better don't go back to stupid country, don't ask for passport.

I have grattitude for country where I was born..also, when I am opting for better life won't call "stupid" coutry who nourished me for so many years.. ...Even dog have gratitude & wags the tail to guy who offered the bread....

This clause to issue new "Indian passport" answers to all questions...

Hope this discussions needs to end here...and we focus on immigration issues ...some forum member (Nadi) is saying - his kids must be dying in front of him while other forum guy is talking about human rights of asylee..etc..
