Basic Difference Between B1/B2/F1 and H1
B/F visa, only non immigrant indent, so you have to prove yourself that you will come back to your home country , for that you have to show family ties, property etc.
H visa dual indent, you no need to prove that you will come back.
B/F visa requirements not required.
However your educational certificates , offer letter, employers details required. Some time cousel may ask employer's office photographs etc etc.
Be prepared for everything. Go to H1 visa forum you will get tons of informations.
H1B stamping in India
Last year went thro this process at Mumbai Consulate. While I had a bunch of papers (including photographs of the facility!) the officer was interested in finding out only one thing - whether I have been out of status at any time during my J-1 pariod and thereafter when I statrted my job under waiver.
