I am US permanent Resident GC for the last 11 years. Now I am thinking to apply for US citizenship.

1) I'm being in US for the last continue 05 years (couldn't go out of US since 2006).

2) Before 2006 I had multiple visit to Mixco to see my family. But I always visited by car and I don't know exact time, numbers of days and date of visit. etc..as no visit stamp at passport.

Now I am worry as I don't have any travel record (time, date of visit to Mixco). Please advice me USCIS just check last 05 years record or they will see whole 11 years?

thanks.

the statutory period will only be the time frame of interest to them... approximate dates are fine...

ur good to go. and good luck

While the presence calculations consider 5 years, they still ask you to report all travels since becoming a permanent resident. While it is perfectly ok to have some mistakes, make sure you are not too much off. If you barely remember, attach an explanatory note so that they can not never challenge the veracity of your declarations. All you need to say in that note is the 2-3 lines you mentioned here.

Thanks all.

In 2000 I laid-off and was in big financial problems. That time I went back to Mexico and worked/lived there 04 months. In 2004 I laid-off again and went back home Mexico for 05 months and worked odd job with family. Whenever I went to Mexico I told to US immigration I went to see my family (They never asked me about my work).

I crosssed US/Mexico broder a multiple times but never ever had any problem. Onetime while In 2001 when I was coming back in US immigration officer asked me what you bring back from Mexico. I replied him "just my personal stuff". He suddenly became angry and asked me pullover the car to the parking lot. He start searching my car and took away my laptop. Then he called me inside the office and start asking me rough questions. I told him this is my brother's laptop that I'm using now. He start crying you Mexician are big liars etc. Then I replied to the officer I am fair person please mind you language and respect others, otherwise I can complain to your manager. Then he became cool and said me "go". After that time I often visited Mexico but never ever have had happen. But I'm still worry whatever was happen that day and mad-officer might be added anything wrong about me in the compter data base?

After completed 10 years in 2009 my GC became expired, then I applied for renewal it. I got new GC after 03 months that is valid until 2019.

Please advice me if I apply for citizenship

1) USCIS will see my 05 years back work/live record from 2011-2006 or all.. until I got my GC?
2) I need to explain my complete Mexician work history as they just asked in citizenship application form? Or don't need it.
3) Whatever I had conflict with immigration officer in 2001, what I need to do before file citizenship application; plz advice?

Your advice greatly appreciated.

1) The N-400 only requires disclosure of last 5 years of employment history. The temporary employment in Mexico in 2000 and 2004 is irrelevant.
2) Only last 5 years of employment history is required on N-400.
3) The 2001 secondary inspection at border crossing is not an issue since you didn't do anything wrong. No need for you to do anything before applying.
