I'll be a citizen in 3.5 hrs

hello all,
Best of luck and welcome, Zack. Good to have you aboard and I guess you will be out celebrating tonight!!!

Consider yourself very lucky because the processing time in New Orleans, LA is 14.5 months. Congratulations on becoming a USC.- :D:D:D

it was awesome ceremony

At last i can say I'm proud of being an American

There were about 60 people for the oath ceremony

I had tears in my eyes when all was said and done

GOD bless the USA

Congratulations! :)

I am astonished that considering how heavily backlogged New Orleans is they are only performing 60 people ceremonies. I can only guess that their problem is lack of interviewing capability. However, with all the trouble New Orleans has been going through I would guess they would have a long line of people interested in taking a IO job.

I honestly think that there is e a lot of bias on the part of BCIS when it comes to favoring some applicants

I've known people who are still waiting for a loong time for their Interview at the New Orleans DO (over a year)

at the same time 2 of my good friends who work for the state got their citizinship at the NOLA office in a record time ( 2 months)

I had to scheduale an Info pass the other day caz the 2 week timing to receive my oath letter (IO said i should get it in 2 weeks) passed, the lady at the info pass was nice enough to sceduale me for the oath date, 2 days after my info pass, but she told me that that have a lot of people waititng in line;
however my 2 friends who work for the state were offered to take the oath 2 DAYS after their Interview, ahead of all those people waiting in line
I was talking to them today at the oath ceremony, and i was thinking that this was a clear case of bias on part of BCIS

just a thought
