Political demonstration (non-violent) by itself is a right allowed as freedom of speech amendment. It is afforded to all resident of USA. It has no bearing on a naturalization application.

Now if violence is involved that is a different matter. Each and any arrest has to be explained by the petitioner in his/her application. The IO will have to make a decision on an individual basis.

I'm staying away from any politically hot demonstrations that may lead to potential arrests until I become a citizen. I don't want to jeopardise anything.
