Went to Pasadena today - where were you rsgc???

Hi,
Pasadena is sure one of the best places to hang out in Southern California. Lots of good restaurants, and beautiful residential area.

No sign of rsgc, perhaps next time. I will come back again.

While waiting for GC I have developed

Heart disease.....so for me hiking is out of question(Which I always wanted to do, and will do it someday) food...yummmmmmmmm...
but I would like to take a coast to coast Amtrak....

yesterday I went to Al Hambra to buy some indian groceries from
Punjab Grocery and also we went to Cheese Cake Factory and had dinner there - Cheese cake factory is a good restaraunt on Colorado and Fair Oakes - My daughter specially enjoyed the Chicken dish and we bought some cake for Home which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Pasadena is one of my favorites - lot of activity there in the evenings. Entertaintment for all different kinds of people. Also lots of upscale shops there. Have you been to the mall - Its a new mall and very trendy too.

Had fun - but I wish I was approved and then I could really celebrate

Hi rsgc

I just roamed around in Colorado Blvd and came back. Will check out the mall on my next trip there. I am not far from Pasadena though. I can reach there within an hour if the traffic on I-10 and I-110 is not so bad. Hope you get approved soon, and start enjoying your favourite restayrants. Not to say that you are not enjoying them at this time:)

I\'ve always wanted to go from...

LA to Vancouver via Seattle by Amtrak. I know that Amtrak goes to Seattle and the view is breathtaking throughout. I would think that Amtrak goes to Vancouver too. My final destination would be Vancouver. Would rent a car there. I hear Vancouver is beautiful especially in the Fall.
The journey from LA to Chicago should also be memorable with the rockies and stuff. I have almost 2 months of vacation banked and have to use it before the end of the year or lose it. Amtrak seems to be just the way to relax and see the countryside. My wife wants to go to Europe though:-(

Europe

I heard SOTC has good packages for Europe

Heard that Switzerland is excellent. But maybe you like Kullu Manali or Ooty better

well no approvals

so brought this section up again.

Let us discuss food and other thoughts

Have u guys tried the white choclate Godiva ice cream - it is divine and definitely out of the world.

No Title

Next time I go to Bombay
I plan to visit Madras Cafe at Sion

anyone wishes to guide me on the excellent dishes there ?

I have heard that Misal is good there.

which reminds me - there is a restaraunt at Dadar TT opp Babubhai Jagjiwandas which serves excellent Puneri Misal and lovely idli sambhar.

icream!!!! in bombay

I think you should also try the Naturals Icream. the sitaphal and chikoo flavor is great. there is naturals in Worli, lokhandwala complex and couple other places. after the icream if i were you, I would go to sidhivinayak mandir, mumbadevi and mahalaxmr temple and the hanuman mandir near lohar chawl

Naturals - well thanks for the idea - I shall put this on my list

But Siddhivinayak /Mumbadevi/Mahalaxmi Temple and Hanuman Mandir - ?????

why any interesting food there or just for prayer ????

I think Bhajias and Pakodis at Mahalaxmi temple are good.

Lohar Chawl reminds me - There is a guy from Kalyan/Ulhasnagar selling Ragada Pattice with Pav outside Cutlery Market and Mirchi Galli and also the Buttermilk is excellent at Marine lines station.

Parsi Dairy farm has good Pedas and Sutar Feni (I love Sutar Feni)
Also Thepla / Pundla behind Jhaveri Bazaar
and Lassi from Badshah Cold drink House opp Crawford Market.
