I94 - Multiple entry

I have recently got my visa revalidated in Mexico. On my I94 US VISIT MULTIPLE is there. What does this mean ?
So while leaving USA on vacation should I hand over this I94 to the authorities or not ? Can some one let me know about this ?

Your visa stamped in your pp is a multiple entry document, I 94 must be returned to airline before leaving US.

Thank you Great Guru. It didn't happen that way while I was leaving USA. The Malaysian officer didn't take my I94 despite the repeated requests. He said since it has Multiple Entry you don't need to surrender it..

Now I am not sure what should I be doing while entering back into USA.. Any suggestions ??
 
Any other comments, please...
