----- I dont know, why take a chance? just renew your passport from nearest Indian consulate or Indian embasy. Indian consulate will give you new passport next day, if send by mail then it takes 10-11 days. check the site of your nearest Indian consulate and find the info.
thanks

485 stamping

hi ginnu,

my 485 application date at VSC is apr 2003. i have seen recently people getting approved around that timeline.

i have valid EAD/AP and passport i94 card.

i have qn regarding my wife's application she applied seperately in aug2003.

will we both get approved at the same time?

my wife has passport in which entry stamp was directly stamped in her passport (when she entered on her AP) recently. she does not have a i94 card.

if our 485 gets approved does she need a i94 card when we go to stamping

best regards,
kumar

-------- Yes, if they attached your wife I-485 with your pending I-485 file (they are supposed to do if your wife has sent copy of your I-485 filing reciept with her I-485 becase she being an derviative spouse can only file while she is on valid status and primary I-485 is attached)
my wife has passport in which entry stamp was directly stamped in her passport (when she entered on her AP) recently. she does not have a i94 card.
---- that is not a problem
if our 485 gets approved does she need a i94 card when we go to stamping
------- if she has any I-94 or EAD AP they will ask for it when you go for GC stamp, if you dont have I-94 it is not problem as your wife was "paroled "
best regards,
kumar
