I485 approved but want to change my job

My I 485 (employment-based) was approved on Oct 26, 2006. Online status said that they mailed the card to me on Oct 31, 2006. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my card because I moved several months ago and they didn't really update my address. Service center asked me to file an I-90 since they thought my card should be lost. So, I efiled an I-90. Today I went to local office and got a temporary stamp.

Meanwhile, there is a job offer. If I accept this offer, I might have to start working there in the beginning of March, 2007. It's about 4 month wait after I got my I485 approved. Is that good timing to change my job?

Also, my wife's I485 application is in process with me. Mine has been approved. Hers is still pending. So, if I change job in the beginning of March, will it affect my wife's application?

Our cases are processed in Vermont service center.

---it means you never updated USCIS service center to update your address on pending I-485. you may have filed form AR11 but it does not change your address on pending petitions with USCIS

------temporary stamp valid till 3-4 months or 1 year? go to SSA office and apply for new SSN card

-------------many lawyers say stick for 6 months to be safe

---------------no, it has nothing to do with your job change

Thank you ginnu!

Just want to make sure that I clearly stated the question regarding my wife's application. When I submitted I485, I included her in my application. That's what I mean by being in process with me. So, in this case, if I change my job in 4 months, will it still affect her application?

--------------what do you mean by " included her in my application"?? she needed to file her I-485. did she submit her I-485??? if yes then no problem

Waht i mean is that she is able to submit her I485 because of me. I think according to what you said, she 's fine if I change my job in 4 months.

------------if she is your wife and got married to you before your I-485 approval she can file I-485 or she may have filed her I-485 at the time you submited your I-485. did not she filed her I-485??

----------------If she has filed I-485 and her I-485 is still pending with USCIS
you are not posting full info.
is your wife in US? if in US on what status
did she file her I-485 with USCIS. did she got reciept of her I-485 filing

Thank you ginnu

She got married to me before I filed I485 and I140 concurrently; so, she filed her I485 at the same time with me. She got the receipt of I485 on March 9 2006 and case is still pending. She works full time in the US with EAD (i765)approval.

In this scenario, will she be fine if I change my job in 4 month after my I485 got approved?
