I485 Approval question

After waiting for my GC to be approved and reading for all stuff on this website. This visa bullentin striked me with a question.

Ok, I know you have to wait for visa bullentin to meet your PD to be able to apply for I485. Then after you applied for I485, next month comes visa bulletin is showing "U". Then what? They will not work on your I485 until it is showing "C" or at least the date later than your PD again?????

So my question is if the visa bullentin now is 05. They will approve all of the I485 with PD of 05 and earlier???

Or it does not really matter even if it shows 05 people who got PD on 05 or earlier might be able to get an approval? Since one month visa bullentin shows 05 next could show 03 or worse 01 or whatever. I am so confused!

No, they will work on those files and which ever is ready (security check, medical forms, ..........etc) and if every thing is OK, approval is mostly will happen. Few cases will stuck for unknown reason and cases behind them will be approved.

Yes every thing could happen and many factors affect approval not just PD is current like, country of origin, type of job, how complicated or straitforward the case is and so on.
