I130 Timeline and next steps

Folks,

I am GC Holder and applied for I130 for my wife, who is on H1-B, in April 2006. The current dates indicate that VSC is processing applications with ND of Oct/Nov' 2005. Can anyone familiar with the process indicate roughly how long will the approval come up?

Next Steps: Do I need to wait for the visa number to be available after I130 approval? Can we apply for 485/EAD immediately after the I130 approval? How long does this stage take?

I know that these questions may have asked/answered but I really appreciate for any responses for these timelines.

Well, since it shows October 22, 2005, it would probably take about 6 months.

The current visa bulletin shows 22APR02 for 2A category (http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3236.html), so it's 5+ years wait time.
 
So, is it possible to apply just for EAD immediately after I130 approval? Will the EAD allow my wife to work for any employer.

no, she can't apply for AOS/EAD until her visa number is current, which will take about 5 years from filing I-130.
