i130 approval at uscis

Hi ALL,

I have applied i-130 for my wife and my priority date is july 12th. I have not received my decision from uscis yet...its almost 5 month..should i contact uscis for this and how should i contact!!..plzz helpp..lil nervous since its too long now

The posted processing time is often merely a guess at how long it takes before anyone at USCIS first takes a look at it. Then it depends on if you submitted all the required evidence or if they have to ask for more.

Wait a bit longer before inquiring.

You can definitely wait a bit longer before calling up the USCIS. You can call them at their toll free number 1-800-375-5283 to inquire. If you do not get a satisfactory response, then you may very well go in for an Infopass appointment.
