Yes. Congratulations!!! Just await a notification of when you will be sworn in as a new american citizen. It might take a week or weeks before you see such a letter, we have the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, so less work will be done in the next week or so. :D

I tried calling USCIS but couldn't get to an option where I could speak to an actual person. How did you do it? thanks!

options 1-2-3 to get to a customer rep.

I called USCIS customer service. They were no help. The customer service rep pretty much read my online case status( which has been the same since my case was transferred to a local office).

I ended up scheduling an infopass. I went this morning to my local USCIS office. I was told that I will be taking my oath on Dec 18 :D and that I will be receiving a letter in the mail. What a relief. The sad part is that I won't be able to celebrate xmas and new year's with my wife and kids overseas as it takes 3 to 4 weeks to get a passport

You can get a US passport the same day or next day at regional passport center and still be able to see your wife and kids overseas for the holidays in time.

Thanks for the advice. I just called the 1-800 number for passport services. They said they can't promise to issue a passport within 3 days. That's the time I have from the day I naturalize until my flight date (Dec 23). I am not sure if I should take the risk but if my passport isn't issued by Dec 22, I won't get a refund for my travel fare :( .. plus I would have to drive from Reno to San Francisco twice to file my application and pick up the passport.

i got passport the next day in san francisco regional office, you can make an appointment right now using the automated service system, the computer will ask you the date you want to choose and when you put the date

the computer will give you confirmation number

honestly , you really do not need appointment, when i went for my appointment i met a guy who had no appointment and he was suppose to travel within 48 hours, he told the security at the door that he had no appointment, the security allowed him in , later on this guy told me that he applied for passport and he was told to pick up passport the next day

True, but if you have the option of taking the appointment, or risking it, why not just take it. Entering without appointment is subject to a variety of factors such as you being able to convince security, the time you reach, the crowd in the agency at that time and so on...

If you get there early enough in the morning, they should be able to process your passport the same day or next at latest. The people on the 1-800 number don't like to tell you same day, but many here have reported same day service with no issues. Worst case scenario is you get there early (before 11:00am), and stay overnight in San Francisco to pick up passport next day.
