I applied last year while I was still in my home country of Libya. I am now currently in the US on an F1 Visa. Now that I have won the lottery can someone please help me out and tell me what steps I need to take to complete the process.... I'm pretty sure I have to apply for AOS (Form I-485).... any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

within the letter you received when logging onto the website to see if you won there is a link to a page telling you all the steps that need to be taken

It's quite complicated to be honest.

Do I need to send my I-485 for AOS to USCIS as well as the DP-122 + DS-230 to the KCC? I apploed from Libya but now I'm in the US on an F-1 Visa

My case number is 2012AF0004XXXX ..... I checked the July bulletin and it says the cap is 50,000 for Africa (Libya)

Do i go on ahead and apply? I'm kinda confused, you guys may think its common sense but this is my first time going through a process like this and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

your link isn't working...

I am here legally in the US on an F1 student visa and I have a medical degree and according to the website I am eligible for the Diversity Lottery, correct? ... I'm just confused about what to do..

I called the KCC and they asked me to send in the DSP-122 with 2 photos + the bar code I got.

The thing is since I'm in the US I will be doing my interview with the USCIS here in the states.

Do I fill out the I-485 and send it to the USCIS for AOS or do I have to wait for the Visa Bulletin to become 'current' ... I dont know what applies or not...

I made an infopass appointment with the local office here in Chicago for next week... but till then I was hoping to get an answer sooner...

hello nsensen,
i think it would be better if you write your CN and region (ex: AF00005XXX) in your signature so others could have a better idea about your situation and answer accordingly.
