I have H1B Visa but no job

Hello Friends,

I have got H1B visa last Oct,2008 and I have come to USA in the month of Nov,2008 but due to bad market condition my employer does not have jobs for me and I am still searching for job with the help of my employer in New Jersey and New York with no luck.

I would like to ask all of you if you have any good reference or contact / suggestion which will help me to continue with my job carrier in USA

I have six years of experience in Microsoft technologies and I have registered my self in all great job websites like dice.com and monster but not received positive reply yet from anyone. Atleast I should expect atleast one interview call.

If you read through the forum, you will find a lot of people in the exact same situation as you. Well I don't work in IT so no leads for you there. But, do be careful about getting paid while on bench because if you are out of status for some time, you can be kicked out and doors of US closed for you forever.

you are out of status.
If you read the threads you will find many who got H1 by paying to desi employers and came to US don’t find jobs at this time. Others may help you for leads but it is going to be tough to get jobs in this economy and be prepared to depart US and many who don’t find jobs are going back to home countries.

Sorry about your situation as yes between April and October last year, the economy really dipped. Look keep trying while you can support yourself as if you have a goal and a dream, it is worth fighting for!
