Hi everyone

I had send my N-400 application on Tuesday 01/26/2010
I know some people will ask the question why I did not apply early the reason was some financial issue.

Good luck to everyone.

the question is irrelevent, you could answer as what ever you want to answer, or u can rather not answer at all. the answer is totaly irrelevent. you could say i just realised that being in america you would want to show ur commitment to the nation by being a citizen, thats the textbook answer

Hi everyone.

Today February 4, 2010 I had receive a text message and e-mail address from USCIS regarding my Receipt Notice (Form I-797); so my question is? What is the * after NBC is stand for following by the number.

Dear Applicant/Petitioner:

Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number NBC*xxxxxxxxxx. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Thanks.

query

i was told that due to the sheer volume of the application, i CAN or SHOULD file my N-400 application one year before completing the 5 years residency requirement. is there any truth to this info?

if u apply a whole year ahead, if ur lucky, the application will be returned and the checks not cashed. and if ur not, the application will be denied and oooops, ur 675 smackerooos just got flushed down the toilet !

you can't and should not. there is no truth to that info.

oh yes he can, and its 110% certain that the applicant aint going any where with that application. rejection or denial would be based on his luck. the applicant aint getting his citizenship, no way, no how. as he aint eligible for it.
