The interview was a breeze. Here how it went.
1. Appointment time 8:30am
2. Got there 8:20 ie after going through metal detecters.
3. Gave appointment letter to officer at the window.
4. Sat down for two mins then heard my name to go upstairs.
5. Went upstairs sat down for 10mins then heard my name again.
6. Followed officer and got sworn in.
7. Answered 3 questions
Husband name and dob
What was his best feature
What he does that gets me mad
(my husband answered a few more ques than I)
8. Gave office my passport (husband had to show id)
9. Got approved and went downstairs to wait for my stamped passport.
The whole experience lasted 45 mins. I hope this info may help fellow Garden City interviewers.
ps. If they say that you will get a decision in the mail, sorry but you've been denied.

Congrats! :) Did your spouse, the USC had to bring and show his US passport?

Hey dimples,

What is the basis of your last sentence in your post, " If they say that you will get a decision in the mail, sorry but you've been denied."

Just curious!!

I don't think you will be denied, may be they need more evidence to be mailed to them or they are scheduling you for a stokes interview... its very unlikelly to be denied on the initial interview.....
i mean it happens but the stats are very low, that is if the have a bonafide evidence that its a bogus marriage then you will be denied right away and both of you guys locked up, and until such happens... you still ahve a chance:)

The reason i said what i said on the last sentence is because I overheard it while I was on the interview. Didn't see who said it but just wanted people to have their heads up thats all. You could be right, they may need to see you for a second interview and I should of said that also, sorry. Aspai, to me it was stolen because I looked everywhere for them and the day I visited my sis, it all of a sudden appeared. Wasn't mad though, I now know I have to be very careful with my documents. I also left for a week because I was thrown out. But now I'm ok cause I can take care of myself if that situation arise again. K.ambrose, all they wanted was an id and he had his drivers license. hope this helps
