My mom is selectee. I'm her 20 y.o. son (my bd: October 3, 1989). My older sister is 18 y.o. and youngest sister is 4 y.o. We got KCC letter 1 week ago and still don't know when better send it back to KCC office.
Currently we have a problem with money and I expect more problems with other things, because our income level is far less than average (even according with Russian level of wages) and also probably because my mother don't know English at all.
We have peace of property which we hope to sell and which possibly will supply us with $10,000-$13,000.
On the one hand I can't wait because soon I will become 21, on the other hand we need more time for gathering necessary funds for consular fees.
I'm here with hope to get answers on this questions:
- What is our accurate deadlines for sending first letters?
I understand that this year to count if I eligible to move to U.S. with my family by age I should add 4 month to my age (according with information I found). The question is what is the event I should succeed for? I read that if I soon will turn 21, I should hurry with sending first step letters to consular office. Again on the one hand - as I understand the sooner we will send our first letters, the sooner will be interview and the sooner we will must pay $755 multiplied on 4 person, yeah?
- What is our accurate deadlines for paying $755 multiplied on 4 person (multiplied on 4 person, because we going to move with whole our family if we will be eligible)
- Is here some money discounts for children, like my 4 y.o. sister?
- Can you help with saying exact money minimum for passing for interview and for successful getting of Green Card? What can happen if we will be eligible to get visa and green card, but will lack in money? I don't afraid living without money, I just afraid that this can affect getting citizenship 5 years old later. Can lack of money cause deportation?
Do you have any personal advice for me and my family? Feel free to share! I am preparing myself to do radical decisions, and I appreciate any valueable information which can increase possibilities of my family successfully move into United States.
