First of all i would like to thank everyone for their support and the helpful information that was given to me by the awesome community of this forums. I would not have done it with out you.
Vorpal, Bobsmyth & I luvfra special hugs for you guys. You guys rock

Here is how my interview went:

My appointment was 7:30am so i woke up at 6am and went out the door at 6:30am to find out that it is raining very bad. Luckily the freeway was moving smoothly and i only live 15 miles away from the DO. When i got to the building there was no line i thought i was early but a security guard came out and told me to show him my letter and my ID and to take any metal objects out etc. I went to the 2nd floor to a big waiting room there was only 2 other guys in there waiting. I put my letter on the tray at the window and the person at the window told me to have a seat. I noticed there was a play area for children in case any of you have to take a child with them one day i thought i let you know.

after 10-15 mins an IO came out and called 1 of the 2 guys waiting with me at that time there was more people in the waiting room. And then i get called 2nd. My IO was the same person that talked to me at the window on my original ID when he gave me the bad news that my file has not arrived yet. So i started the conversation with that as we walked to his office. We sat down then he made me take the truth oath. and started going through my application page by page making sure everything is correct.
1- He did ask me if i ever been cited or detained and i said no. so he looked at me saying "no traffic violations?" i said "yes i had 1 2 month ago' and i explained to him what happened then he said " so was there an accident or just a ticket" i said "only a ticket" then he just kept going down the list.
2- He did make sure that i sign with a different signature on the forums related to my name change. he said that sometimes files get delayed if it is the same signature.
Then he made me read to him "His wife was not at home" and made me write" I go to work in my blue car". and he said that he know that i can read and write but he has to do it. Then he started chatting on how frustrating it is when he get people that do not understand English and right from that start of the interview he can tell who is going to give him hard time and who will not.
Then he said ok now we do the test and i said oh boy and he said no worries its easy. And asked me which one i wanted and i told him the old test.
Here are the questions i got and by the way i got them all correct 10/10 thank god :)
1- Where is the White House located?
2- What is the Legislative branch of our Government?
3- Name two senators from your state?
4- What is the supreme law of the United States?
5- Who is Chief Justice of the Supreme Court?
6- What are some of the basic beliefs of the Declaration of Independence?
7- Who wrote the Star-Spangled Banner?
8- What did the Emancipation Proclamation do?
9- In what month is the new President inaugurated?
10- What are the two major political parties in the United States today?

after that he said see you Aced the test then he asked me if i have a copy of my marriage certificate and i was prepared and i had one. I did not tell him that i am separated because he did not ask. I told i brought one just in case even though it did not say i should bring it in the IL. He said we like to have it anyways so your file can be complete.
Then he made me sign the bottom of my N400 and then he stamped it with a BIG RED "APPROVED". i got so excited then i could not believe that this was it. It took about 30 mins tops. And he handed me a paper saying congratulations bla bla and that i should receive my OL in 60 to 90 days. i thanked him and shacked his hand and walked out happy.

Thanx a lot guys and good luck to all of you and i pray all your wishes and dreams will come true.
I'll keep updating my status and visit the forums often
Thank you again and good luck. Ramsis

Your thread title is confusing. I hope you are aware you are not a citizen until the moment you take the oath at the oath ceremony. That's the moment you become a citizen. Don't try to go and apply for a passport or register to vote before that ;)

Otherwise congratulations for your successful interview and thanks for giving us details of your interview.

Yep you're never a citizen until you get it official at the oath. Remember people get pulled out of the oath ceremonies and denied from time to time, so just keep up the requirements until you get the oath and you should be ok...

yea i am aware of course i just wanted to use that title hehe. i appreciate the heads up anyways.

happy that your interview went well.
you still haven't earned the real kong rats.
post again when you really become a citizen (you will, for sure) and then kong rats will come to you. :D

If your citizenship application was marriage based (3 year rule) than you run a risk of losing it if the CIS finds out that you were separated at the time you submitted your application (or at the time of the interview, not sure which one). You have to be married AND live together with your American spouse to qualify for 3 year rule.

Cheers.

It's 100% true; otherwise it's considred a fraud/lie/misrepresentation to US govt. This is a material fact and directly connected/related to applicant's eligibilty for the benefit. Thus, if EVER govt. finds out that OP was seperated, not only his citizenship will be revoked but he will be placed on a removal proceeding. This is a clear-cut misrepresentation to US govt. to gain immigration benefit.

Some people might wonder how govt. would know if parties were separated or not if none of them is going to tell to anyone. Other than tax records (if parties file separately from different address), it could be found thru divorce complaint (if USCIS will review the divorce complaint). There might be other ways as well to find it out, but I don't know yet.

The dangers of jumping to conclusions before having all the facts:the OP did not apply under 3 year rule and thus none of this applies to him.

I do NOT need to JUMP to conclusions nor I need to have any fact on OP's specific situation. Did I say anywhere that OP filed his citizenship application under 3 yrs rule so that he needed to disclose his separation??? You need to learn to read things well before saying anything. My above said posting was to another member and in response to that member's posting wherein he stated-"You have to be married AND live together with your American spouse to qualify for 3 year rule". I was simply responding to other member and to his statement. That's all. I know nothing about OP's situation/case. And I can care less nor I need to know what was the basis of OP's N-400...Perhaps, you need to keep the log on each and every member's biography to know their situation but I don't.

Other member stated very clearly about a situation by saying that if case was filed under 3 yrs rule, so I just answered to that remark/statement as to what could happen to an applicant in a similar situation if s/he has filed a case under 3 yrs rule.

FYI, if OP was asked about his marriage and he did not disclose his seperation with his wife to the officer regardless of whether he filed his application on the basis of 5 yrs or 3 yrs rule, under oath, then it's a fraud/lie/misrepresentation. If he wasn't asked about his marriage then there is no fraud/misrepresentation. You can clap to support anyone's actions even if someone was able to succeed in deceiving the govt....but I don't...

I think you should start minding your own business than pointing others as to who is saying what. Just provide your opinion than caring others' opinions. Do not need to offend others nor to provoke unnecessary arguments.
