I 94 validation and Out of Status

Hi,

After my MS, my OPT/EAD expired in Dec 2004, and I haved Feb 2005 date with 60 date grace period in my I 20.
My I 94 has D/S. So does 180 days period(b4 unlawful presence) applicable to F1 as well, if so does it start from Dec 2004 or Feb 2005.
Kindly let me know.

You are now accumulating out of status time, starting with February 2005. You are at the moment not accumulating any illegal presense, if you had no contact with USCIS, because your I-94 has D/S in it. However, you may consider obtaining a legal status through reinstatement or leaving the States before you are found out.
 
I do have a valid H1 but without I 94. So I am unauthorised to work. can I try going to canada or mexico. if not what would be other option other than going to home country

I did not receive bcos it filed improperly. i did not realise that b4.
Is going to mexico advisable in my case, i do not have appointment dates in india in near future.
