i just got my second H1B in mail and found that the I94 number is missing in both the botom stubs( even though my wife has it on her H4)
i have to go to Canada for stamping for my passport ,can it cause problem( when i asked my lawyer who filed for my H1b ,he said no problem at all)
feedback appreciated

I-94 does not match with H1 visa date

My husband's H1-B expires in June 06 but his I-94 says June 05, by mistake. We recently discovered this problem. He has applied for an extension. But in the meantime, if we want to go to India, will there be any problem? Please help. Thanks.

It is always better not to travel some application is pending, as it creates confusion. However, in theory, you shouldn't have problems even though you travel during extension is pending UNLESS your current stay is considered overstay. Next time you enter the US, you'll get new I94 which has Jun06 expiration date.
You should be more worried about overstay issue. You had better talk to lawyer.

I think this is mistake from USCIS

Hello...sometime in 2000 I was in similar situation...when my attorney filled for H1B transfer ...when I got approval I got I797 with NO I-94 details, then once again my attorney sent all paper work and got corrected...and fiinally I able to recieve I797 with I94 details.

You should see exact I797 which you must have recieved first time, in my case without I94, I797 mentioned that get stamping done in your home country etc etc...

Please let me know in case if you have any questions...send me email to gcforraj@gmail.com

Good Luck
